prints. Let the fabric tell you how to use it! Traditional piecing and simple
appliqué come together to create a one-of-a-kind art quilt. |

Supply List:
• ½ - 1 yard focus fabric - a large scale picture print;
look at Kona Bay, Alexander Henry, Japanese yukata. Piece should contain
three to six design motifs, or one major and several minor motifs which
can easily be isolated from each other.
• 1 yard each of several colors which coordinate with the focus fabric -
textured prints, marbled, hand dyed, batik or other fabric for background and
borders.
• Threads for machine piecing background fabrics and for hand appliqué of
focus fabric.
• Sewing machine.
• Fabric marking pencil.
• BCT, BSS with appliqué needles.
• Regular pencil and eraser.
• Graph paper; freezer paper.
• “Basic Shapes” template, $7.00, others will be available for
purchase in class. Optional: specialty rulers or templates for cutting triangles
