	RD1 • Feathery Frays $60.00 Friday, 3/16/07 6 hours 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM All levels • Machine required Kit Fee: $25.00 Gorgeous silk dupioni is layered, cut and frayed into beautiful interlaid feathery frays of color. Students will learn the technique and create ½ yard of fabric that can be used in a garment, pillow or other project. Lots of examples will be shown for using the technique.

	Supply List: • Sewing machine with a quilting bar. • BSS, BCT • Small stiff scrubbing brush (fingernail brush). • Old bath towel. • Chalk marker or wash away pen. • Kit includes: 5-6 colors of silk dupioni, silk organza, thread and instructions.

	RD2 • Needle Felting $35.00 Saturday AM, 3/17/07 3 hours 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM All levels • No Machine Kit Fee $18.00 Fun and easy, like coloring with wool roving. You will see samples of the technique used in garments and home decorator items. This is one of the hottest new techniques to learn. No mess or water to deal with. Supply List: • Scissors • Kit includes: 3 needles, wool roving, wool fabric, a foam block and patterns for small projects

	RD3 • Microwave Dyeing $40.00 Saturday PM, 3/17/07 3 hours 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM All levels • No Machine Kit Fee: $25.00 Microwave dyeing turn silk fabric into radiant color almost instantly. Easy, fun class for everyone. Supply List: • 1 old bath size towel • Scissors • Kit includes: 2 silk scarves, 1 yard of silk fabric, dyes

	RD4 • Not Your Mama’s Yo-Yo'S $35.00 Sunday AM, 3/18/07 3 hours 8:30 AM – 11:30 PM All levels • Machine required Kit Fee: $20.00 These are not the traditional yo-yo’s. If you are an art quilter or a wearable art maker, these are for you. You will not believe what a yo-yo can be. Grandmother’s flower garden will never be the same. Students will make samples and see ways to use these clever little round puffs of fabric.



	Supply List: • Sewing machine • ¼ yard or FQ batik or other interesting print • ¼ yard or FQ of coordinating plain fabric. • BSS • Neutral color thread (beige, grey,). • Kit includes: fabrics and supplies for making the samples.
