Join the fun. Create a small quilt no larger than 15 x 15 inches incorporating any 2 holidays. In addition to the size limitation, the holidays must be mashed but still recognizable. The viewers should be able to identify which holidays the quilter blended together.
Example: a Christmas tree decorated with Easter eggs.
Three Ribbons will be awarded: first, second and third place per viewer’s choice.
Two rules: Size and theme. Our display area at the 2013 Show will only accommodate a small size.

Once again the Autry museum has generously agreed to sponsor the tickets needed for GQG 2013 Opportunity Quilt, "Holi-daze". Every year GQG and its members make a quilt and seek donations to raise funds for the guild's operating expenses. The Autry and Glendale Quilt guild have worked together in the past when the guild prepared and presented quilting workshops at the museum in which the public made quilt blocks. A fantastic community quilt was made and is in the permanent collection of the museum.
For this year's Silver Jubilee Gala, Glendale Quilt Guild members Heidi St. Royal, Doralee Dohnel, Anne Wolf and Pat Rollie met to stitch up a western theme quilt. The quilt would be auctioned off with the proceeds to benefit the Autry's many historic exhibits. Here is a picture of the finished quilt.
Glendale Quilt Guild thanks the Autry for their donation of the ticket printing for our guild. Our quilt top (Holi-daze) is finished, to be quilted by member and president of the guild, Brandi Nalley. Watch our site for the finished product.
Thanks to all these hard workers for their talent and dedication.
