The Glendale Quilt Guild is proud to offer you the opportunity to win the fantastic king-size quilt “Cinco de Mayo.” The name comes from Karen K. Stone’s pattern, which was used for this fabulously complex quilt center. Members of the “Las Pulgas” mini-group (pictured with the quilt) are responsible for creating this riot of color. Various members of the Guild lace the black border with ‘papel-picado’ squares designed freehand by Gloria Molina and reverse appliquéd. Our past-president and past-show chair, Judy Leonard, tames the quilt center down with long-arm quilting. The border is hand quilted by members of the Guild under the direction of Master Quilter, Kohura Nakamura.
For an opportunity to own “Cinco de Mayo,” you may purchase tickets when you register for the workshops; they come in a twelve-ticket booklet for $10.00. You may be the lucky winner when Karen K. Stone draws the winning ticket on Sunday afternoon, March 18th. |
